Panchakarma

Panchakarma is the primary purification and detoxification treatment in Ayurveda. 'Panchakarma' means five therapeutic treatments which include vamana, virechana, snehavasti, kashayavasti and nasya. Virechana is purging, Vamana is emesis, Vasti is enema done with either medicated oils or medicated decoctions, and finally Nasya is the instillation of medicines applied through the nose. It enhances and restores the essential balance of mind, body, and emotions and is advisable prior to any rejuvenation treatment.
